About Pleasantview Care Center!


Pleasantview Care Center offers short term rehabilitation, skilled nursing and twenty-four hour hour nursing home care in Parma Ohio. We are family owned and operated, and have been serving the community since 1971. Our convenient location is close to all major highways. Our purpose is to provide exceptional care in a nurturing, home-like atmosphere. At Pleasantview Care Center, our goals are to make each day special and provide a pleasurable, stress-free environment that promotes well-being and a sense of community.

Pleasantview Care Center is located southwest of Cleveland Ohio, on the NE corner of Ridge and Pleasant Valley roads in Parma Ohio (map) - adjacent to Legacy Place Parma, our sister, assisted living facility.

Medicare skilled care benefits are good in most nursing homes across the USA. Its your choice which facility will best meet your specific needs. If you choose Pleasantview Care Center, you can call to make arrangements yourself, or you can ask your hospital discharge social worker to call for you. Residents of Pleasantview Care Center and Legacy Place Parma enjoy super easy access to physicians and health services. University Hospital Parma Medical Center is less than a mile away, Southwest General Health Center is 5.4 miles,

Our staff to resident ratio is much better than the state standard. At Pleasantview, our rehab units boast a staff to resident ratio of 8 residents per STNA. The state standard is 15 residents per STNA.

Pleasantview is actively involved in the community. One of our favorite events is sponsoring a Tee for Girl Scout golf outings. This year the daughter of one of our staff was chosen to hold the Pleasantview / Legacy sign. Other activities are visits by organizations within the community, as well as regularly scheduled activities with local children's groups - Parma schools, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, etc.

Person Centered Care is our way of making sure our residents wants and needs come first more. This includes things like putting special preferences first - like what time to get up in the morning, celebrating a birthday with the grand kids more, religious preferences more, or planning a visit with a special furry friend - read our article The Joy of a Dog

Activities are an important part of Pleasantview Care Center. In addition to regularly scheduled events like lunch out, shopping trips, bingo, etc. we also plan many special events throughout the year. learn more
